1. Open the MindSphere tenant to view the launchpad
2. Click on the Asset Manager
   
   The Assets screen is displayed.
3. Click on the Create Asset
   
   The Select Type screen is displayed
4. Select MindConnectLib and Click Create
   
   Add asset screen appears
5. Enter a Name, Description(Optional) and click Save
   
   The Asset gets created in the MindConnect.
   

After the asset is created in the MindConnect it is possible to connect (onboard) the device in the deviceWISE. Follow the steps below to connect the device to deviceWISE:

1. Go to the asset created and click on MindConnect Lib
   
   Configure MindConnect Lib screen appears
2. Select your desired security profile and click Save.
   
   Edit boarding configuration screen appears
3. Click Generate onboarding key
   
4. Click Copy to clipboard
   Copies the key to the clipboard. Note that the Boarding status at the top of screen is Onboarding...
5. Open the Workbench and click & expand MindSphere.
   
6. Enter the following fields:
   1. Paste the onboarding key from the MindConnect Library asset into the Boarding Configuration.
   2. Enter the Service Credential ID
   3. Enter the Service Credential Secret
7. Click Onboard
8. Go to the MindSphere Asset manager and go to your MindConnectLibrary asset to make sure that the Boarding status at the top of screen is Onboarded..
   

To create a MindSphere DataSources and DataPoints, do the following:

1. Go to the asset created and click on MindConnect Lib
   
2. On the Configuration Tab, click Add data source
   
3. Enter a Name and Description
   
   The Data source is added to the configuration panel.
4. Corresponding to the data source you created, click on Add data point
5. Enter the required fields and click Accept
   
6. Click Save
