IO-Link IODD files are XML files that describe a particular sensor. The IODD file must be present in the following directory for the sensor data to be accessible via deviceWISE:
staging/iodd
The deviceWISE IFM IO-Link IoT Master driver comes prepackaged with many IFM sensor IODD files out of the box. However, if the sensor IODD file does not exist, this will be indicated in the Exceptions Log under Logs & Reports in Workbench.
Once the IODD file is located and placed in the iodd folder within the staging directory, the deviceWISE node must be restarted for the change(s) to take effect.
IODD files can be found using online IO-Link resources, such as IODD Finder.
