The Asset Gateway for Siemens IoT 2000 product includes a device for the gateway's local I/O.
The device is predefined with a device name of
IO and a device type of Local
IO. These vales can not be changed.
The IO device can be edited, to configure the
Shield type attached to the gateway.
When the Siemens IoT 2000 gateway IO device is Started, variables will be accessible as device variables.
The USER variable structure is available when a Siemens
SIMATIC IoT 2000 I/O-Sheild is not attached, and the
Shield parameter = None.
When the Siemens SIMATIC IoT2000 Gateway I/O-Shield is attached to the gateway and the Shield parameter = Siemens is selected from the device definition, the following additional device variables will be enumerated:
- DIN
- DOUT
- AIN
The individual device variables can be referenced where ever a variable is referenced, for example:
- IO.USER.Button
- IO.AIN.U0
Limitations
- Currently the Siemens SIMATIC IoT2000 Gateway I/O-Shield is the only supported shield for this gateway.
