Transport map for a SAP transport

You create a transport map and associate it with a SAP transport to enable interaction between the Transaction Server and a specific SAP RFC interface. In addition, the transport map allows you to specify the direction of the data (one way or bi-directional).

The information in this section assumes the following:

  • You are familiar the RFC interface that are associated with SAP BAPIs.
  • A SAP transport has been created and is available on the node. For more information, see SAP transport.
  • The Workbench is started and you have logged on.

To create a transport map using a SAP transport, follow these steps:

  1. From the Workbench left pane, expand the node that you want to add the transport map to.
  2. Expand Enterprise, right click the Transport Maps icon to display its pop-up menu, and then click New.
    The Transport Map window appears.
  3. Name the transport map as appropriate, and then set the Version Mismatch option to either Pass or Fail.
  4. From the Transport Map window, next to Transport, click the down arrow.
A list of pre-defined transports appear.
  5. Select the transport that provides the connection to the appropriate SAP application server.

The Transport Map window changes to accommodate a SAP transport.

The following shows the To Enterprise section of the Transport Map window when a SAP transport is selected.
