The Cellular Modem category contains
the event types related to the cellular modem feature of a
gateway.
The Cellular Modem Manager extension feature is installed with the base software installation for some products.
For other products, the Cellular Modem Manager extension is added using the Administration -> Packages tab.
And for other products, the cellular modem support is provided with the gateway hardware without requiring or adding a Cellular Modem Manager extension.
Cellular modem features
Because of the differences in cellular modems
and the differences in gateway hardware, some
Cellular Modem events and Cellular Modem
actions may not be available or have limited
features on some gateways. Some gateway hardware
includes their own cellular modem manager.
