Step 1 - Starting the TCP Receiver Client

When you install the Workbench, you also installed the TCP Receiver Client. The TCP Receiver Client is a program that lets you display messages received from a TCP connection. The program uses standard TCP/IP network protocol as the transport.

A trigger (your application logic) will be defined to use a Transaction action that sends a message over TCP to the TCP Receiver Client program.

To start the TCP Receiver Client:

  1. In Windows 10 PC, click Start >> deviceWISE>> TCP Receiver
The TCP Receiver Client window appears.

Notice Port = 4444. You will need this port number when creating the transport.
  2. Minimize the program.
