Connecting to the IoT Portal

To connect the workbench to the deviceWISE Cloud, do the following:

1. From the menu bar at the top of the Workbench window, select User.
   
2. Select Connect to Open Server.
   The deviceWISE Cloud credentials window will appear, allowing you to log in to the deviceWISE Cloud.
   
   

The email address and password entered here are the same as what you use when logging in to the Management Portal
The server field should be filled in with the value for the HTTPS Endpoint, found in the Developer section of the Management Portal.

Use the HTTP Endpoint without the https:// prefix or the /api suffux.
For example: api.devicewise.com

Connecting to the deviceWISE Cloud is not required from the User menu option, and can be done on demand when needed. Once successfully logged in, a status bar will appear at the bottom of the window with deviceWISE Cloud and organization information.

If you choose to remember your password, the next time the workbench starts it will automatically connect to the deviceWISE Cloud.
