Email templates are preformatted emails that are used for Email notifications. For example, password recovery message, Sign Up welcome message and so on. The Email templates screen displays the available email notifications. Each email template contain predefined information that is sent to a user when a particular action is performed within the Management Portal. It is possible to tailor the messages by using the variables. Email template variables are defined in the format $(VARIABLE), where the string VARIABLE is the name of the variable (such as url or minutes). The variables available to the email template will vary depending on context.
If an email template is not defined in the users default organization it will be obtained from the top most ancestor organization. It will NOT obtain it from any other parent or grandparent organization, only the top most ancestor.
