Sessions

A Session is a sequence of network HTTP/MQTT request and response transactions associated to the same user/thing. The Sessions screen lists the activities of a user or a thing with a unique IP address on the Management Portal during a specified period of time.  Once a user or a thing has been authenticated to access the portal, the subsequent requests are handled using the generated session ID.  Each session is an instance of the interaction of a user or a thing with the portal using the session ID. The sessions screen contains the following information:

  • The JSON of the session request
  • User's group (Super Admin/Super Ops/ Org Admin)
  • Protocol used to connect
  • The IP address of the user or the thing
  • Start and end time of the session
  • Last accessed time
