RADIUS

RADIUS provides information on when an IP session is STARTED and STOPPED. The table provides the session id along with the data consumed during each session.  Most of the carriers provide RADIUS feed and it shows the data consumed by a device.  It is possible to create real-time alerts based on the data consumption. For some providers it also receives interim RADIUS records regularly for each session, noting the usage. When the final STOP record is received, it contains the number of bytes that were used during that IP session.

For example,

  1. A trigger defined to check if a device connected more than 50 times in the last hour
  2. A trigger defined to check if a device consumed more than 10 MB is the last three hours

The RADIUS view provides you with more information including the Session event type and the data consumed for each session. By default, 400 events (Count truncated) - 20 pages, 20 lines per page is listed. The Count truncated message indicates that there are more events than it is shown in the list. To view all the events increase the default count.
