Cloning a Trigger

Cloning a trigger allows you to make a copy of an existing trigger. To clone a trigger, do the following:

Cloning is to clone a trigger within an org whereas template is used to create the same trigger across different Orgs. For more information on creating a trigger template, see Creating trigger template.
  1. On the Developer main screen, click Triggers.
    The Triggers screen appears.
  2. Click on the Clone Icon  corresponding to the cloud trigger you want to clone

    It is not possible to clone a Trigger with http.receive event due to fact that the URL (webhook secret) which is unique cannot be cloned.

  3. Change the name, description or modify the trigger
  4. Click Update Trigger updated message appears. The trigger is successfully cloned.
