Integration of deviceWISE and Visual Inspection

Integrating deviceWISE AI Visual Inspection with deviceWISE Edge offers enhanced capabilities for orchestrating workflows that include visual processing.

In order to realize this, you'll need to obtain an API Key from Visual Studio and configure deviceWISE with it. To proceed with the integration, it is assumed:

  • The machine has the most recent version of the Workbench.

  • The Workbench has the Visual Inspection package installed.

Once the assumptions are checked, the following step by step can be executed:

  1. From deviceWISE AI Visual Inspection web interface, navigate to User Settings and generate an API Key.

  2. Under your node, go to the Administration window, where you will find the Visual Inspection tab. Through this tab, it is possible to create the connection between the Visual Inspection tool and deviceWISE. Enter the IP address of the Docker instance where deviceWISE Visual Inspection is running, and the generated API Key to establish the connection.

  3. Click Save and then Validate Connection. Make sure the Status changes to 'Connected'.

It is important mention that this action of generating a new API Key will replace the previous API Key if it exists. Make sure to copy the new key as you will not have access to it once the window is closed.
