Using the Workbench to
access local Rockwell ControlLogix devices
The Enterprise Gateway for Rockwell ControlLogix product provides a backplane driver that supports communication to Rockwell ControlLogix PLCs in the same hardware rack.
These devices are defined by the runtime during startup time, based on recognizing the ControlLogix PLCs in the same hardware rack.
The names of the devices are Local CPU X, where the X
corresponds to the slot number the ControlLogix occupies in
the hardware rack.
For example: a ControlLogix PLC in slot 0 would be
identified and defined as Local CPU 0.
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Name | Defined by the system at startup time, based on the slot position in the hardware rack. This name can not be changed. |
Type | ControlLogix (Local) |
Tag Access Connection Size | Defines the backplane
throughput. The options are: Small, Medium (the default), Large. |
Par Variable Security | Select False to disable the allocation of additional memory to track User to Variable access for all Variables in this Device. Select True to enable this feature if required. For more information, see Setting up Read Write per device variable. |
