Accessing Oracle by service name

If your Database Administrator (DBA) specifies that an Oracle database transport needs to be configured to access Oracle using a service name instead of a System Identifier (SID), do the following:

1. While Creating the database transport or Editing the transport definition, click Extended Attributes.
   
   The Extended Attributes window appears.
   
2. Enter the service name in the serviceName field.
    
   
3. Click Add
   
4. Click OK to close the Extended Attributes window with the service name you entered
   
5. Click Save to save the Transport definition.
