Installing Asset Gateway for Mitsubishi CCPU (Discontinued)

This gateway is discontinued and is no longer supported or included in build output beginning with the 20.1.11 release. Contact your Telit sales representative if you need additional information.

This page describes how to download and install the deviceWISE Asset Gateway for Mitsubishi CCPU product on a Mitsubishi CCPU module.

The Mitsubishi CCPU model supported is:

  • Q12DCCPU-V

Prerequisites

The following is assumed:

  • You have the Mitsubishi CCPU.
  • You have an Ethernet cable.
  • You have completed the initial configuration and setup of the Mitsubishi base unit, power supply, CCPU and any other Mitsubishi modules inserted into the base unit.
Refer to the appropriate Mitsubishi documentation for the initial configuration and setup instructions.
  • You have a computer, such as a laptop, that can be used to log on to the Management Portal and can have its IP address changed to allow a direct Ethernet cable connection to the Mitsubishi CCPU at its factory default IP address.
  • You have a compact flash card reader, or other mechanism to transfer the Asset Gateway installation files to the compact flash card that is inserted into the Mitsubishi CCPU.
  • You have a Management Portal user ID and password and know how to log on. You need this to download the Asset Gateway installation files from the Management Portal.
If you need a Management Portal account, see Creating the deviceWISE Cloud account.
If you received the installation files from your Telit representative, you can skip the download steps and proceed with Copying the installation files.

Obtaining the Asset Gateway for Mitsubishi CCPU install file

Follow these steps to download the Asset Gateway for Mitsubishi CCPU install file:

  1. Log on to the Management Portal, and then select Developer.
    The Developer menu appears.
  2. From the Developer menu, select Resources.
  3. From under Index of files, select the appropriate build (if you are not sure, pick the latest available build).
  4. Select Mitsubishi.
  5. Select CCPU.
  6. Select Asset_Gateway.
  7. Select DWGateway.MitsubishiCCPU.XXX.zip (where XXX is the version of the Asset Gateway software you want to download) and download the file to a temporary location on the computer.

Copying the installation files

  1. Extract the contents of the downloaded DWGateway.MitsubishiCCPU.XXX.zip file and copy the contents to the root of the compact flash card.
One example set of steps is:
    1. If the compact flash card that will be used is in the Mitsubishi CCPU, power off the base unit and remove the compact flash.
    2. Insert the compact flash into a card reader that can be accessed from the computer.
    3. You may want to format the compact flash card as part of removing any prior contents from the card or as part of using a new card.
    4. Copy the contents extracted from the .zip file to the compact flash card. This includes all files and directories, maintaining the directory structure.
    5. Insert the compact flash card back into the Mitsubishi CCPU and restore power to the base unit.
  2. During initialization of the Asset Gateway for Mitsubishi CCPU, the numerical display will cycle through startup stages. The stages will increment from 11, 22, 33, 44, up through 88 and then clear.
  3. The Asset Gateway for Mitsubishi CCPU software has been installed onto the compact flash.
  4. If the Mitsubishi CCPU's IP address is still at the default settings, you may need a direct Ethernet connection from a computer that is configured on the same subnet.
    For example:
    1. Connect the computer's Ethernet port to the Mitsubishi CCPU's first Ethernet port, labeled CH1, using the Ethernet cable. The default IP address for the Mitsubishi CCPU CH1 Ethernet port is 192.168.3.3.
    2. To allow a direct Ethernet connection from the computer to the Mitsubishi CCPU at the default IP address, temporarily change the computer's:
      1. IP address for the Ethernet adapter to 192.168.3.4
      2. Network mask for the Ethernet adapter to 255.255.255.0.
    3. From the computer, you should be able to ping the Mitsubishi CCPU at IP address 192.168.3.3. You can proceed with the Next steps to configure the Asset Gateway.
