Set Date & Time
The Set Date & Time action sets the
date and time, as well as the timezone of the node.
Depending on the features and capabilities of your
particular node, the ability to set the timezone may not be
available.
Notes about specifying the time zone
The time zone is specified as a string, and the string must be the correctly formatted string based upon the operating system where the node is installed.
- On Linux and UNIX systems, the time zones are specified by the IANA Time Zone Data format; for example, America/New_York and Asia/Tokyo.
- On Windows systems, the time zones are specified in the Windows time zone format, (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada).
To find the available time zones and formats for your platform, go to the Workbench > Administration > Time Management tab and view the options available using the Device Time Zone drop-down list. The time zone strings visible in the drop-down list are the exact formats that must be specified in the Timezone parameter on the Input tab.
