Switch is a roaming network selection mechanism that allows on-the-fly change of providers on a national level. A Connection is switched from an existing network to a different network in order to save roaming cost. While switching a network you select a network from the list of allowed networks depending on the country you need roaming. The figure below outlines a connection that is switched from a network in its origin country to a different network in its destination country to save cost.
