Using the Actions Menu (Connection)

Not all options described in this section are available on every Actions menu. The options vary with the operation and the type of Connection you are currently viewing.

The Actions menu appears either while viewing the Connections Dashboard or while Viewing a Connection.

The Actions menu in the Connections Dashboard contains the following options:

  • Add to campaign - Enables you to select Connections and add it to a Campaign. For more details on Add to campaign, see Adding Connections to Campaign.
  • Change tags - Allows you to add or remove Tags/Security tags/Control tags.
  • Recruiter - Enables you to add or remove Billing plan or VAS package. For more information on Recruiter, see Recruiter - Billing plans and Recruiter - VAS packages.
  • Refresh - Allows you to refresh the Connection view and see the updates.
  • Bulk edit - Enables you simultaneously modify multiple Connections.

The Actions menu in the Viewing a Thing contains the following options:

  • Add to campaign - Enables you to select Connections and add it to a Campaign. For more details on Add to campaign, see Adding Connections to Campaign.
  • Edit - You will be able to edit the Connection. For more information on Editing a Thing, see Editing a Connection.
  • Create thing - Allows you to create a Thing for the connection. For more information on creating a Thing from the Connection, see Creating a Thing from a Connection.
  • Change status - Enables you to change a status and assign a rate plan to the connection. For more information on Change Status, see Changing Status.
  • Change rate plan - Allows you to change a rate plan for the connection. For more information on Changing rate plan, see Changing Rate Plan.
  • Sharing - Allows you to share the Connection with a different organization. For more information on Sharing a Thing, see Sharing a Connection.
  • Refresh - Allows you to refresh the Connection's meta data. Only the meta data gets updated and will not perform a On-Demand sync that updates the entire data. For more information on On-Demand sync, see Viewing a CDP.
  • Set IMEI - Allows you to set IMEI for a connection.
  • View JSON - Shows the JSON object of the Connection.
  • Query network - Allows you to query the network for the status and last registration timestamp. The API equivalent is cdp.connection.query_network.
  • Cancel Location - Allows you to cancel location updates of T-Mobile connections. The API equivalent is cdp.connection.cancel_location.
